Do you know this truck? Police release photos of rig involved in heavy-equipment theft

Published:

Pennsylvania police are asking for help in the search for information surrounding the theft of some heavy equipment last week.

According to Patch News, a Hitachi ZW805B wheel loader, used in construction, was stolen from the parking lot at 50 Monument Road in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania on December 19th at around 9 p.m.

Now, after some investigation, police have released photos captured by security cameras showing a red semi truck with a flatbed trailer that they believe to have been involved in the robbery.

The video shows the red semi truck, possibly an early 2000s Kenworth, pulling into the parking lot at approximately 9 p.m. The rig then left the lot and drove across the street to 401 City Avenue where it was parked.

The footage then shows the $65,000 wheel loader being driven out of the lot, across Monument Road, and over to the waiting big rig, where it was loaded onto the flatbed trailer.

The rig pulled away at 9:52 p.m. and went north on City Avenue toward Interstate 76.
