Multiple semis destroyed in early morning fire in Indianapolis

Firefighters are investigating after several trucks were destroyed in an early morning fire at a trucking business in south Indianapolis.

Firefighters were called to a M&K Truck Center location off of I-465 around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 17.

WOW! One of the first IMPD officers on scene sent me this video. We’re told business is M&K Truck Centers.

Approximately 12 trucks caught fire in the business lot. Explosions were also reported.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze by 5 a.m.

Semi Fire Southside

We captured this video on our INDOT camera just before 4:30AM showing one of several reported explosions that happened on the south side. Several semis and dump trucks were ablaze at M&K Trucking Company.The fires have since been put out but investigators are still on scene trying to figure out how the fires started. Fortunately, we haven't heard reports of any injuries and traffic is NOT impacted.

There have been no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
