The Oklahoma HighwayPatrol (OHP) is participating in a Thanksgiving traffic enforcement effort on two of the biggest travel days of the year.
OHP says that troopers will be stationed approximately every 15 miles on I-35 and I-40 on Wednesday, November 25, and Sunday, November 29. These days see a major uptick in holiday travel.
The enforcement effort is intended to curb dangerous driving and keep Oklahoma highways safer over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Troopers will be on the lookout for various driver violations including speeding, distracted driving, intoxicated driving, and seat belt violations.
