People are doing the math after trucker is recognized for 10 MILLION safe miles

Published:

A trucking company recently recognized a driver for hitting an unbelievable safety milestone.

Earlier this month, Sapulpa, Oklahoma-based John Christner Trucking recognized one of their drivers for accomplishing an astonishing 10 million safe miles.

The driver — appropriately named Larry Miles — has “been around the world over 400 times in a truck (TEN MILLION MILES), without a single incident or accident,” according to the company.

It isn’t clear how many years Miles has been behind the wheel or exactly how the miles were added up — which led some incredulous social media users to try to do the math.

Either way, Miles must be doing something right to have hit even half of 10 million miles safely.

Last August, driver Barry Queebodeaux was recognized by KLLM for a mind-blowing 9 million safe miles. In 2015, Memphis truck driver Arthur Cage was honored for driving 6 million safe miles in a 42 year career. In 2018, Georgia-based truck driver Bobby Elrod was recognized for driving 5 million safe miles in 45 years.
