A semi truck driver escaped from a dramatic bridge collapse uninjured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).
The bridge collapse occurred near Westphalia, Missouri, on Monday, August 17, when a semi truck attempted to cross a one-lane bridge over the Maries River.
Troopers say that no one was hurt.
The incident is still under investigation.
Later on Monday afternoon, MSHP offered an update on the bridge collapse.

Unit was carrying feed. Preliminary info indicates it had at least 40,000 lbs. in cargo, not including the weight of truck & trailer. Bridge is posted at 5 tons.
