State and local cops find 134 violations during CMV crackdown

This week, local police joined forces with Utah troopers to conduct a rigorous truck safety enforcement effort.

The truck inspection blitz took place on Wednesday, October 28, in Park City, Utah.

Officers with the Park City Police Department and the Utah Highway Patrol conducted the joint effort along S.R. 224 (also known as Marsac Avenue) looking for CMV violations.

Park City Police Captain Phil Kirk said that at the end of the day, 25 trucks were inspected. Officers found 134 violations. Eight vehicles were placed out of service for various issues including brake and overweight violations. Three drivers were also taken off the road for expired or suspended licenses.
