A man allegedly responsible for a deadly double shooting at a truck stop in Florida has been indicted on first-degree murder charges.
The State Attorney’s Office announced the indictment on Thursday, October 22nd, but the incident occurred on December 19th, 2019 at a Pilot Travel Center on U.S. 301 in Baldwin, Florida.
According to News 4 Jax, 56-year-old Leroy Edwards is also facing attempted first-degree murder charges, armed robbery, and three counts of attempted first-degree murder on a law enforcement officer.

On the day of the incident, Edwards is said to have shot two of his coworkers, killing one and seriously injuring the second, before fleeing the scene in his truck and eventually exchanging fire with police officers.
The shoot-out left Edwards seriously injured, and he was hospitalized for more than a month before he was transferred to the Duval County jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
