A truck driver has been hospitalized following a serious crash that damaged two houses over the weekend.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 8th, at around 4:20 p.m. in northwest Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
According to ABC 5 News, the tractor trailer was traveling southbound near NW 36th Street and the Kilpatrick Turnpike when it suddenly left the roadway, struck a two-story duplex, crashed through a yard, and struck a single story home before crashing into another vehicle.
The buildings and vehicle were empty at the time of the incident, but the truck driver was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
His condition has not been released and the reason behind the crash is still under investigation.
We’re grateful there weren’t more injuries today after a semi went off the Kilpatrick Turnpike, traveled through two backyards, clipped one house and then hit the front of another house. This was near NW 35th and Catamaran Drive. The driver of the semi was the only one injured. pic.twitter.com/UegrWg8OBT
