Trucker goes missing in Ohio with truck unlocked, keys in ignition

A family is asking the public for help in locating a truck driver who has been missing for several days.

Maia Torres says that her father, truck driver Rick Foster, has been missing since Tuesday evening.

According to Torres, Foster stopped in Cleveland, Ohio, on the way to deliver a load due in Michigan on Wednesday morning.

When a wellness check was performed on Wednesday morning, the truck was found in a closed Kmart parking lot in a neighborhood of Cleveland called Kamm’s Corner with the load still on the truck.

However, the truck was found unlocked with the keys in the ignition. All of Foster’s belongings except for his cellphone were also left behind in the truck.

In recent photos, Foster has brown hair, a short grey beard, and tattoos visible on his arms and neck. Torres says that he may have had a medical emergency due to the fact that he suffers from Crohn’s Disease.

Torres is asking anyone who has seen Foster to call Cleveland, Ohio police at 216-443-6000 or police in Sidney, NY at 607-561-7400.
