Indiana State Police have confirmed that a truck driver lost his life in a crash on I-69 on Thursday morning.
The crash occurred near mile marker 273 on I-69 in Huntington County, Indiana.
Authorities say that a semi truck traveling northbound on the interstate struck a bridge support in the median and then caught fire.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Troopers have confirmed that the driver of the truck lost his life.
A woman who was believed to have been in the sleeper berth area when the crash occurred was ejected and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation
Both directions of I-69 are closed for clean up and investigation of the crash. The State Road 5 bridge is also closed until it can be inspected for safety.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
