Volvo releases bizarre ‘truck tower’ video

Volvo Trucks has released a very strange new ad to promote the debut of four new heavy duty truck models.

This week, in honor of the launch of four European heavy duty truck models — the Volvo FH, Volvo FH16, Volvo FM and Volvo FMX — Volvo shared an over the top video titled “The Tower.”

The ad was filmed in Gothenburg, Sweden, and features dramatic visuals, lightning, wolves, and all four trucks (for some reason) stacked on top of one another. Even stranger, Volvo Trucks president Roger Alm is standing at the top of the tower of trucks with his arms outstretched as if he’s conducting the thunderstorm before him.

Other crazy stunts dreamed up by the Volvo team over the years involve a ballerina on a slackline between two trucks, Jean-Claude Van Damme showing off his flexibility with his feet on two different trucks, and this thing with a hamster.

The ad is something else. You can check it out below.
