The Ohio State Highway Patrol released dash cam video featuring a trooper’s valiant attempt to slow an impaired motorist driving the wrong way on a busy interstate on Monday.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. on Monday, May 31, in Sycamore Township, Ohio.
Police received word that a Honda Civic was driving the wrong way on northbound I-71.
In the dash cam clip, a trooper activated his lights to warn other drivers and used his cruiser to try to slow the wrong way Honda driver.
Officers were eventually able to bring the Honda to a stop.
Twenty-five year old Ohio woman Kelsey Peterson was arrested and charged with driving the wrong way, operating a vehicle under the influence and driving on a suspended license.
