Driver in custody three days after sideswiping trooper, fleeing scene

A truck driver has been arrested less than a week after sideswiping a patrol car, injuring an officer, and fleeing the scene. 

The accident happened on Wednesday, June 16th. The truck driver was arrested on Saturday, June 19th. 

According to ABC 5 News, 40-year-old Perry Livingston was arrested at his home in New Haven, Connecticut after officers obtained an arrest warrant. Officers also discovered the semi truck involved in the wreck in Milford, and seized it pending a search warrant. 

The officer injured in the wreck-in-question has since been released from the hospital and is currently on injured leave. 

It is not yet clear what charges Livingston will be facing.
