A truck driver is okay after their semi truck was blown completely off a bridge in Chicago early on Thursday morning.
The accident happened on December 16th just after 1 a.m. in Chicago, Illinois.
According to ABC 7 News, the semi truck was traveling southbound on the Dan Ryan Expressway when witnesses say that a big gust of wind pushed the truck, causing the driver to lose control. The rig then smashed into the barrier wall, went over it, and fell nearly 20 feet off the overpass and onto Wenworth Avenue below.
The unidentified driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.
Several southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway were closed around 27th street as crews worked to clear the wreckage, but the area has since been reopened.
