A trucker was seriously injured after slamming into a dump truck in Wisconsin on Tuesday.
The accident happened on June 8th near Horicon just before 10 a.m.
According to Madison News, a dump truck was stopped in the westbound lane of Highway 33 between Highway 26 and Horicon for construction when a semi truck slammed into it. The force of the impact obliterated the cab of the semi truck and seriously injured the trucker, who was transported to a nearby hospital.
The dump truck driver was uninjured, and the dump truck appears to have sustained very little damage.
Highway 33 was shut down for approximately six hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage. The roadway has since been reopened.
