Former trucker pleads guilty to child pornography

A former truck driver pleaded guilty to the distribution of child pornography this week after officials discovered he had shared massive amounts of the materials. 

60-year-old Stanley Joseph Weaver was taken into custody on January 23rd of this year after sharing 342,756 files (524.8 GB) of child pornography involving prepubescent minors, sadomasochism, infants, and toddlers to two undercover agents; plus an additional 54 images and six videos of child pornography during two different interactions with a law enforcement partner, reported The Free Press.

Waver went before U.S. District Judge Tilman E. “Tripp” Self on Wednesday, Oct. 6. He faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 20 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, a minimum of five years but up to a lifetime of supervised release, and registration as a sex offender upon release from prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2022.
