No one was injured after a semi truck crashed into an infamous Kansas City bridge over the weekend.
The crash happened on the evening of Sunday, January 3rd at the Independence Avenue Bridge and Wilson Road in Kansas City, Missouri, reported KCTV 5 News.
While this is the first rig to strike the infamous bridge this year, if past incidents are any reflection of what’s to come, it won’t be the last time a semi truck smacks into it in 2021.
Three trucks hit this 12’0″ Kansas City bridge in just five days
In recent years, Kansas City’s Public Works Department has spent quite a bit of money on signs warning drivers of the low clearance, but the incidents continue. Back in November, three trucks struck the 12 foot high bridge in a span of just five days.
These incidents are so frequent, the bridge has its own Facebook page.
Please be careful out there, drivers!
Yesterday was a lighter meal than the last two. I'm a bit late to sharing this one, but I was busy doin' bridge stuff.
