The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) released a list of more than two dozen drivers who will serve on an FMCSA advisory panel to weigh in on issues like parking, driver training, and Hour of Service rules.
On Friday, January 15, the FMCSA released a list of 25 truck drivers who will serve on the Agency’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC). The panel is tasked with providing feedback on various trucking industry issues, including safety, Hours of Service regulations, driver training, parking, and driver experience.
The FMCSA says that the 25 panelists represent various types of commercial vehicle drivers, including tractor trailer drivers, straight truck drivers, motor coach drivers, hazardous materials drivers, and agriculture haulers.
“FMCSA believes in listening to our drivers and hearing their concerns directly. We know that many of the solutions to the challenges we face don’t come from Washington—they come from the hard-working men and women who are behind the wheel all over our nation. This new subcommittee to MCSAC will further help us hear from America’s commercial drivers,” said FMCSA Deputy Administrator Wiley Deck.
