Measly chain link fence saves trucker, rig from tumbling off bridge

A truck driver and their rig were saved from a serious fall thanks to a small chain link fence that kept the wrecked rig from plummeting off a bridge.

The accident happened in Dekalb County, Georgia on Monday, January 11th at around 8 a.m.

According to WSB TV, the semi truck tipped over on Mountain Industrial Boulevard above Highway 78, where the small chain link fence miraculously held the truck, keeping it from a more serious incident.

Crews were able to pull the trailer upright by 12:45 p.m., but traffic was still impacted for at least two hours afterwards.

The exact reason behind the tipped semi truck is not clear. No injuries have been reported.
