Semi truck crash scatters Happy Meal boxes, causes traffic backups

A semi truck wreck left a load of McDonald’s Happy Meal boxes strewn down the side of a hill and caused traffic backups in Knoxville on Friday afternoon. 

The accident happened at around 2 p.m. in Knoxville, Tennessee on January 8th. 

According to 10 News, the semi truck overturned on the ramp from I-640 East to I-75 North, completely ripping open the trailer and spilling the load of boxes. 

As of 2:30 p.m., officials estimated cleanup could take up to three hours, and drivers are advised to avoid the area as crews worked to clear the mess.
