This is one of the better outcomes of hitting black ice and it still isn’t good

Published:

A truck driver and CDLLife App member took to the app to share a scary experience with black ice this week.

App member Tracy Tee thankfully walked away from an encounter with black ice on Thursday morning, but his truck was not so lucky.

“I hit black ice this morning. Truck is f-ed up,” he wrote in a post.

“… The load and trailer is good… I’m okay… I-75 north, mile marker 83, Kentucky.”

In the post, Tracy showcased several photos of the incident, including the tracks his rig left in the grass when it went off the road and the black ice responsible for the accident.

Fellow app users and truck drivers took to the comments to show gratitude that he made it out okay, and one even passed the wreck during cleanup and was able to snap a photo.

“Good you are okay. Good job keeping it upright,” wrote John M.

“I live at exit 87. Driving in ½ inch of ice will do that,” said Mike D.

“Sorry brother. Took a pic as I rolled by this morning,” shared Gary B. “Happy you are alright. I had wondered. Looked like HP had it well in hand.”

“You’re good. Back it up and roll it out, it’ll buff out lol,” joked Anthony M.

We’re just glad he made it out okay. Please be safe out there – keep the shiny side up!
