Watch as this trucker tries (unsuccessfully) to beat an oncoming train

A truck driver is okay after attempting to beat an oncoming train outside of Dallas on Monday evening.

The accident happened on May 17th in Irving, Texas just before 5:30 p.m. at North MacArthur Boulevard between the West Irving Station and Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station.

According to CBS Local News, the truck driver tried to cross the tracks just before an oncoming train, but got caught between the barrier arms. The train then smashed into the empty trailer, tearing off the back axle of the rig and causing quite a mess.

Thankfully, the truck driver was okay, and only one minor injury was reported on the train.
