Transportation officials in Washington state expect a portion of I-90 to be closed for an extended period of time following a Wednesday morning pileup crash involving dozens of vehicles.
The pileup was reported around 5:30 a.m. on December 7 on eastbound I-90 at mile marker 115 near Kittitas, Washington.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says that approximately 30 vehicles were involved in the pileup.
Images from the scene shared by WSP and state transportation officials show several semi trucks involved in the collision.
There is no word yet on how many people were injured.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says that eastbound I-90 will be closed for an extended period and advises drivers to detour onto local roads.
