Houston fire officials are working to determine the cause of a two-alarm fire that damaged several semi trailers and sent a firefighter to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 4 p.m. on October 5 at a warehouse at 4847 Blaffer in northeast Houston, Texas.
The Houston Fire Department (HFD) told ABC13 that approximately 500 bales of compressed cardboard and 20 trailers were damaged in the warehouse fire.
More than 100 firefighters and other personnel responded to the two-alarm fire.
No employee injuries were reported, but a firefighter was transported to the hospital for treatment of dehydration and chest pains.
The fire was extinguished by 8:30 p.m.
“Arson is on scene conducting an investigation,” HFD said.
