The Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) participated in a multi-state traffic enforcement effort targeting commercial vehicle drivers.
The enforcement detail took place April 19 — 20 along I-90 from Montana to Minnesota, including South Dakota and Wyoming.
In the state of Wyoming, troopers conducted 145 Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) inspections, with 15 drivers placed out of service and 51 vehicles placed out of service.
WHP also said that “Our Performance-Based Brake Tester (PBBT) was deployed and processed 45 vehicles, with 3 failing their brake performance, a total of 330 brakes checked, and 38 failing the tests.”
During the two day enforcement, eight passenger vehicle drivers were stopped for driving erratically around CMVs. WHP says one of the motorists was intoxicated.
