Driver charged in wreck with mobility scooter

A truck driver has been charged after a wreck with an elderly woman on a mobility scooter on Friday afternoon. 

The accident happened on October 21st in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada at 2 p.m.

According to Halifax City News, the tractor trailer was heading south on Hollis when the driver ran a stop sign and struck an 83-year-old woman on a mobility scooter. 

The woman was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. 

The 53-year-old driver has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and failing to stop at a stop sign.
