Motorcyclist dragged beneath rig after turning into path of semi truck 

A man is dead after turning into the path of a semi truck in Florida on Sunday. 

The accident happened on November 6th in Highlands County, Florida at around 2:21 p.m.

According to ABC Action News, the motorcyclist was stopped at a stop sign facing north on County Road 721 at the intersection of State Road 70 when it proceeded to turn left into the path of a tractor trailer heading east. 

The motorcycle then collided with the left side of the truck and was dragged underneath the rig before the truck came to a stop along the northern shoulder of the roadway. 

The 69-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene. The 75-year-old trucker was not hurt. 

The crash is still under investigation.
