The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) says that high winds are causing major issues for truck drivers traveling on I-80 in the central part of the state.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, NSP said that high winds are affecting truck travel on I-80.
It is incredibly windy right now in central Nebraska along I-80.
Multiple semis have overturned in the wind and blowing dust is causing visibility issues in some areas.

“Multiple semis have overturned in the wind and blowing dust is causing visibility issues in some areas,” troopers said. “Good idea to find a safe place to park for a bit if you’re in a high profile vehicle.”
NSP says that several drivers have parked along the shoulder of I-80 and they’re working to get those vehicles to the nearest exit to a place where they can park safely.
“For safety reasons, don’t park on the shoulder of I-80,” NSP said.
