VIDEO: Box truck gets a ‘flat top’ thanks to infamous Kansas City bridge

A notorious low bridge in Kansas City, Missouri, takes a big bite out of a box truck in this quick video clip.

On January 12, the Kansas City Police Department shared video of a box truck driver’s unfortunate run-in with the Independence Avenue Bridge, which is marked at 12 feet, 0 inches.

Police say that no one was hurt, “especially the bridge.”

The bridge is owned by the Kansas City Terminal Railway and was built more than 100 years ago. The company says that the bridge averages two strikes per month.

The Independence Avenue Bridge nabs so many unsuspecting trucks that it even has its own Facebook page.
