Black Bear Diner opens in Arizona TA truck stop

TravelCenters of America (TA) recently opened a popular restaurant franchise in an Arizona truck stop.

On August 15, TA announced that a Black Bear Diner is now open at the store located at 1010 N. 339th Avenue in Tonopah, Arizona.

This is the eighth Black Bear Diner to open inside a TA location. Other locations include San Antonio, Texas, and Amarillo, Texas.

The Black Bear Diner restaurant concept includes “abundant portions of home-style comfort food and a unique cabin-themed dining experience,” the company says.

“We’ve seen incredibly strong growth and momentum thus far in 2023 and are eager to continue executing our expansion plan, which includes both company-owned and franchise-owned diners,” said Anita Adams, CEO of Black Bear Diner. “Our franchise partners are a huge part of our success and we have enjoyed working alongside TravelCenters of America to bring classic, family-style comfort food, bear-themed dining environments and quality service to new communities in convenient locations.”

“We are pleased to add to our full-service dining offer,” said Jack Hancharick, TA Vice President, Full-Service Restaurants. “Our guests love the Black Bear Diner concept, and our team is excited to welcome such a popular brand to the TA in Tonopah’s wide array of offerings.”

Black Bear Diner was founded in California in 1995 and now operates 157 diners in 14 states.
