Cans scattered through intersection after motorist slams into beer truck 

A motorist was critically injured after slamming into a beer truck at an intersection in Florida early on Friday morning. 

The accident occurred at the intersection of US 441 and Boy Scout Boulevard near Apopka, Florida at around 6:30 a.m.

According to Click Orlando, a Chevy Malibu was traveling south on US 441 when it ran a red light and collided with the side of a semi truck hauling Bud Light. The truck was turning left on a green light at the time of the collision. 

The man in the Malibu was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. The 36-year-old truck driver was not hurt in the accident. Beer cans were scattered across the highway following the wreck, and US 441 was closed in both directions for cleanup. 

No further information has been released.
