No one was seriously hurt after a wreck that left a Corvette crushed under semi truck in Louisiana on Thursday morning.
The accident happened on the morning of October 5th in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana on Interstate 49 northbound.
According to the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office, the details of the crash are not known, but somehow a blue Corvette ended up completely underneath the cab of a tractor trailer hauling a flatbed trailer. A sheriff’s office pickup truck was also minorly involved in the accident.
No major injuries were sustained in the crash. No further information on the cause of the crash has been released, but a passerby did write to the Sheriff’s Office to compliment the responding officer.
“I was one of the 1st people to pull up to the accident on I49 this morning. I just wanted to compliment the 1st sheriff’s deputy on the scene. I’m not sure what his name is [Cpl. Jimmie Minor] but his command & control of the scene was not only impressive but when it came to cleaning up the scene he jumped in there with the work crew & helped out! I took several pictures of him & would like to send them to you as well. I just wanted to compliment & say thank you to the Sheriff’s Office as well as the State Police for a job well done.”
