Freight train strikes stuck semi, pushes it two blocks down the tracks

Authorities in Missouri are investigating a major train vs. truck strike that occurred on Wednesday morning in Gorin.

The crash occurred around 10:20 a.m. on January 25 at the junction of Highway A and Highway.

A semi truck hauling a flatbed trailer loaded with steel road tubes became high-centered on the railroad tracks as Florida-based truck driver Ehsanullah Folad, 24, attempted to cross.

The truck was stuck for about six minutes before a BNSF train plowed into the vehicle, pushing it about the length of two blocks before coming to a stop.

Folad was outside of the truck when it was hit.

No injuries were reported.

Local outlet KTVO reports that the truck was only about three blocks from its final destination when it became stuck.
