Police in Louisville are investigating a deadly wrong way crash involving a semi truck that occurred during the Tuesday morning rush hour.
The crash occurred around 8 a.m. on January 17 on I-264 at Brownsboro Road in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) says that a motorist was traveling at a high rate of speed in the eastbound lanes of I-264. The motorist lost control and crashed through the median into a semi truck in the westbound lanes.
The crash caused the semi truck driver to lose control and crash off the roadway, coming to a stop in a grassy median.
The car driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver suffered no significant injuries.
The eastbound lanes of I-264 have reopened, but westbound lanes remain closed.
