On Wednesday, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to a crash involving commercial vehicles that resulted in a big spud spill.
The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on April 5 in St. John’s County, Florida.
FHP says that two tractor trailers and two cars collided on I-95 northbound at mile marker 307.
No serious injuries were reported.
One of the trucks overturned and spilled hundreds of pounds of potatoes near the shoulder of I-95.
I-95 reopened around 2:30 p.m.
FHP quipped, “We have ‘mashed’ together resources to clear the roadway as quickly as possible” and “Spud-tacular job with getting traffic flowing again!“
