Florida transportation officials have closed a portion of I-75 following a major overpass strike involving an oversized load.
The crash was reported shortly after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, on I-75 in Ocala, Florida.
A semi truck hauling an oversized load in the northbound lanes of the interstate struck an overpass at mile marker 347.
No injuries were reported.
Images captured at the scene show damage to the bridge structure.
Northbound I-75 is closed as crews inspect the overpass for damage. Miles-long traffic backups have been reported on I-75. SW 66th Street is also closed.
Southbound I-75 is open but troopers say that rubberneckers are causing traffic delays.
This is a developing story.
