A truck driver was arrested for illegally carrying a handgun in Connecticut on Thursday.
Connecticut State police report that 34-year-old Bryan Lambert of Virginia “bypassed signs directing the operator to drive into the station for inspection,” at the weight and inspections station in Union on Thursday, August 24th.
“During interactions with the operator, probable cause was developed to search the interior of the truck, where a Smith & Wesson handgun was subsequently located,” wrote the Connecticut State Police in a post to Facebook.
Lambert was placed under arrest and charged with carrying a handgun/pistol without a permit and weapon in a motor vehicle. He has since been released and is scheduled for arraignment on September 13th at Rockville Superior Court.
