Three hurt, two dead after tanker rear-ends car at intersection

Two people are dead and three more are hurt after a wreck between a tanker truck and a sedan at an intersection in Texas on Tuesday. 

The accident happened at around midnight on Texas Highway 73 in Port Arthur, Texas. 

According to 12 News, the tanker truck rear ended a Dodge Charger at the intersection of Texas Highway 73 and West Port Arthur Road and overturned. The back end of the Charger was crushed in the wreck. 

One man and one woman inside of the Charger were killed, and a teenage boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Two other adults were transported by ambulance but details regarding their conditions are not known. The truck driver was not hurt in the wreck. 

Investigators say the people inside of the Charger were Cuban, and appeared to be coming from the airport. No further information has been released.
