Two people in SUV suffer cardiac arrest after colliding with semi truck

A collision with semi truck causes cardiac arrest in two people inside of an SUV in California over the weekend. 

The accident happened on Saturday, November 25th in San Bernardino County, California. 

According to KTLA, a black SUV collided with a semi truck near Alabama Street and San Bernardino Avenue at about 6:45 a.m. and the motorist fled the scene. First responders arrived to find three people inside of the SUV in need of “extensive extrication.”

Two of the three people went into cardiac arrest during the rescue. Paramedics kept the two people alive while all three were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The truck driver was not hurt in the accident. 

Police are still searching for the motorist involved in the wreck, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the California Highway Patrol’s San Bernardino Area office at 909-383-4247.
