UPDATE: Black pickup involved in I-70 shooting that wounded trucker

Police are still investigating a road rage shooting that wounded a trucker in Colorado over the weekend. 

The shooting happened at around 8:10 a.m. on Sunday, January 29th on westbound I-70 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. 

According to ABC 7 Denver, initial investigation has revealed that a motorist in a black pickup was driving dangerously next to and, at some point, in front of a moving semi truck. The motorist then pulled alongside the passenger side of the rig and fired a shot that struck the trucker. 

The trucker told police that the pickup then exited on Ward. 

The Wheat Ridge Police Department is still seeking dash camera footage that captured the truck around the time of the incident. Anyone with that footage or other information on the incident is asked to call 303-980-7300 or contact Detective Paugh at [email protected].
