UPDATE: Driver found in cab of semi truck has been identified 

A truck driver found dead in the cab of his bobtail semi truck over the weekend has been identified.

The driver was found in a Lowe’s parking lot on North Dirksen at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, January 28th in Springfield, Illinois.  

Since then, the driver’s family has been notified and his identity has been released – 56-year-old James Barksdale, reported WCIA News.

An autopsy revealed no signs of injury or trauma, but toxicology reports are still pending, and a cause of death has not been determined. 

Investigators say that there was no sign of foul play and nothing suspicious was found at the scene.
