1960’s International truck “rolled over” onto truck owner

Published:

A 1960’s International truck overturned and crushed its owner as he was working on a property in Tennessee on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred on April 16th in Greene County, Tennessee in the 1800 block of Charles Johnson Road at around 8:15 p.m.

According to WJHL 11, Robert Clark was working on a property on Charles Johnson Road when he contacted the property owner asking to speak about the job. The property owner was then walking down his driveway to meet Clark when Clark’s 1960’s International commercial truck parked on the property overturned and crushed Clark.

“The tractor rolled over off of the trailer and came to rest on top of victim Robert Clark,” the police report states. The report refers to the vintage rig as both a tractor trailer and a box truck. When police arrived, Clark was still trapped underneath the vehicle and was unresponsive.

The property owner told police that Clark had been working on the property for the last three days, and had parked his 1960’s International truck in the same spot each of those days.

The 1960’s International truck was left on the property until Clark’s family could make arrangements to have it moved. No further information has been released.
