Driver suffers fatal injuries working alone at Coca-Cola plant

A truck driver died at a Coca-Cola faciltiy on Monday while working on a tractor trailer. 

The accident happened on September 30th at the Coca-Cola bottling plant on Eagandale Boulevard in Eagan, Minnesota. 

According to KARE11, police were called to the Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling plant just before noon after 69-year-old truck driver, Jesse Charles Murdock, sustained serious injuries while working alone on a tractor trailer. 

Murdock’s injuries proved to be fatal, but the details of the incident are not clear. Murdock worked for Taylor Trucking. 

“We are deeply saddened to confirm the tragic incident that occurred today at our Eagan facility,” a Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling spokesperson said in a statement. “We are giving this incident our full attention and will thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding it. Our hearts are with the individual’s family and friends.”

 Minnesota State Patrol’s Commercial Vehicle Unit is aiding in the investigation.
