Firefighters respond to wild commercial vehicle rollover

North Carolina firefighters responded to an unusual commercial vehicle rollover crash last week.

The crash occurred on June 28 near Sandy Ridge, North Carolina.

When Northeast Stokes Volunteer Fire & Rescue arrived on scene, they discovered a dump truck had rolled off the roadway, spilling its load of grain onto a nearby grassy area.

The truck came to rest with the dump trailer twisted over top of the truck.

Firefighters say that the driver was not seriously injured but was transported to a hospital for observation.

Responding agencies include Stokes County EMS, North Carolina Forestry Service (Stokes), the Stokes County Sheriff Department, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
