Men filmed pulling driver from flaming semi truck flipped upside down

Published:

A truck driver was rescued by several strangers after crashing off a highway in Houston on Tuesday.

The accident happened on October 8th at 12200 Mykawa Road in Houston, Texas at around 5:20 p.m.

According to ABC13, the semi truck overturned and caught fire on the grassy shoulder, trapping the truck driver inside. Video from a witness shows at least two men braving the flames to pull the driver from the burning truck. One of the men then uses his shirt to pat out the fire on the driver’s lower half.

Once they arrived, firefighters worked to put out the large fire, shutting down Mykawa Road for several hours. Police investigators say that there were two other cars at the scene damaged in the wreck, but officers have been unable to determine the exact cause of the wreck.

The truck driver’s current health status is unknown. No further information has been released.
