Motorists smashes trucker’s phone in road rage encounter

Published:

Motorist smashes trucker’s phone as he filmed their road rage encounter in Pennsylvania over the weekend.

The incident occurred on March 2nd at 3 p.m. on Toll Route 66 in Derry Borough, Pennsylvania.

According to TribLive, a white Dodge durango driven by 30-year-old motorist Marshall Dolfi drove across two lanes of traffic on the southbound side of Toll Route 66 and came to a stop in front of a tractor trailer.

Cameras on the tractor trailer show Dolfi getting out of his car and opening the door of the truck. Dolfi and the trucker get into a verbal augment as the trucker films the encounter on his phone. Dolfi then grabs the trucker’s phone, smashes it into the ground twice, and throws it over an embankment. Dolfi then leaves the scene.

Troopers found Dolfi a few days later. Dolfi told police that the tractor trailer driver had cut him off just before the argument, but denied breaking the driver’s phone. However, “Dolfi related he agrees that he did not handle this incident in the best way,” police wrote.

Dolfi had a driver’s license expired on February 26th at the time of the incident. He was held at the Westmoreland County Prison on $25,000 bail.
