Multiple tractor trailers were involved in a chain-reaction accident on Interstate 276 in Pennsylvania on Tuesday morning.

The accident happened on November 12th on I-276 westbound near Lincoln Highway in Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania.

According to 6ABC, one tractor trailer appears to have crashed into a box truck, another into the center median, and a third jackknifed across the roadway trying to stop for the wreck involving the box truck. Officials say that this series of wrecks happened in the slowed traffic caused by a previous accident.

At about 8 a.m. CST, no traffic was getting by in the westbound lanes, bringing the morning commute to a standstill between I-95 southbound/exit 40 and exit 351. As of 12 p.m. CST, traffic was flowing again.

Drivers were being detoured onto Interstate 95 southbound to Woodhaven and then instructed to head toward the Boulevard and Bensalem Interchange, where they could reenter the Turnpike.

Three people were reportedly injured in the incident. Details regarding the severity of the injuries have not been released.
