Ohio police cite dozens of truckers in multi-agency commercial vehicle operation

The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) recently collaborated with local police departments to conduct a commercial vehicle enforcement operation that resulted in dozens of citations and several out-of-service orders.

On July 30, OSHP announced the results of a recent operation targeting commercial vehicle violations on or near SR 161 in New Albany.

During the operation, law enforcement officers stopped 89 commercial vehicles. Of those, 79 were inspected and 71 were cited.

Additionally, eight out-of-service orders were issued as a result of the New Albany enforcement effort.

Other participating agencies include the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and New Albany Police Department.
