Motor carrier officers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) recently sidelined a truck and a driver following a traffic stop sparked by concerns over the structural integrity of the trailer.
According to an October 15 social media post, motor carrier officers with THP’s West Unit stopped a truck and trailer along I-40 “for trailer integrity as the walls were ‘waiving.'”
THP performed an inspection which revealed that “the trailer roof and supports were completely gone.”
Additionally, the truck driver had an hours-of-service violation.
Both the driver and the vehicle were placed out-of-service.
