Semi truck overturns as direct result of street race

Semi truck overturned as direct result of street race outside of Los Angeles early on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred on March 3rd at about 12:45 a.m. in Riverside, California on the 215 Freeway.

A California Highway Patrol spokesperson says that “a white Dodge was racing another vehicle when it crashed [and] caused the semi to roll over and hit the guardrail.”

Only minor injuries were sustained as a result of the crash. It is unclear if drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident, reported KTLA.

Officials are still investigating, and no information on citations issued as a result of the wreck has been released.
